Giraffes Can't Dance

If you thought that giraffes can’t dance, prepare to be disabused! Apparently they can and to prove it we were asked to create a memory box inlaid with a dancing giraffe entwined within the client’s monogram.

The aim of the design was to evoke wonderful memories of reading favourite bedtime stories and the thematic imagery was inspired by the children’s book “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, by Giles Andreae. 

This lovely piece of art, commissioned in celebration of a special birthday, features an interior marquetry panel depicting family memories, a forever home and the moment the lady said ‘yes’ to her love’s proposal of marriage.
