Rolls Royce Memory Box
A memory box created out of figured walnut with banding of burr walnut throughout. The edges are strung in boxwood and the two main timbers are divided by natural black sycamore linework.
Within the inside lid we see a Rolls Royce sign representing his time as a director of engineering there. As are the three aeroplanes which he frequently saw over the skies.
The box is traditionally hand French polished to a silky-smooth aromatic beeswax finish. The underside of the box is finished in leather and inlaid with a marquetry lozenge depicting the Wheathills lady above the year the box was created.
