Furniture Restoration Traditional
Upholstery

Wheathills' upholsterers
maintain a strong tradition when restoring upholstered
antique furniture using tacks instead of staples, horsehair
and fibre as a sensitive alternative to foam and finally
taking the time to individually sew every spring for
maximum comfort and strength.
Almost every job is finished to the white calico stage
before the final fabric is chosen, which can be chosen
from our extensive stock or from an alternative source.
Whatever the choice, we work with you to achieve the desired
finish in the full knowledge that the traditional methods
employed have stood the test of time and will continue
to provide peerless service for many years to come.
