Historic Wheathills
The event specifically covers
the history of Wheathills from the late 18th century to
present day and is given in three parts. The first part
will cover the history of Wheathills, and will be given
by Alex D Sommerville, CPM, who has carried out extensive
research into the house. Nigel Heldreich will then give
a talk on the conservation and restoration programme,
which the house is currently undergoing and the third
part will be for guests to ‘walk
the talk’,
when they will be taken on a tour of the building absorbing
the historical atmosphere of the house and seeing the results
of the restoration project. This event, which will last
for three hours, can be arranged for morning, afternoon
or evening with refreshments being provided.
