The ROMO Company was originated by Robert Mould in Nottinghamshire, 1902. Over one hunded years later the company remains family owned by the founders' grandsons, who are committed to carrying on in the ROMO tradition.

Originally small scale manufacturers of furniture, in the 1930's the company moved away from the making to becomong suppliers to the upholstery trade of furnishing fabrics and furniture components.
Today the company designs and markets exclusive furnishing and upholstery fabrics, wallcoverings and trimmings, and employs over 180 people at its two sites in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
