William
Morris became a significant figure during the
time of the British Arts & Crafts movement,
and remains one
of the best known British designers to date. His
aim was to reverse the industrial manufacture
of decorative arts and architecture and return
to hand-craftsmanship. He founded Morris &
Co which encouraged the revival of traditional
crafts. |
