Proud Grandparents involved their baby grand daughter from the very beginning in the design and selection of timber used in the commissioning of their Christening Memory Box.

The box is constructed from a hand-selected section of Walnut ,the crossbanding is in Macassa and strung in Ebony and Boxwood.
The box was designed to reflect the family love of roses, and the marquetry roses are created using five different timbers: Maple, Walnut, Cherrywood, Sycamore and Dyed Lime.
The interior is upholstered in fine biscuit suede and inscribed to celebrate the Christening of Emily.
The Brass hinges are handmade in New York, the key is handmade, as is the Brass raised escutcheon.

The Grandparents' wishes had been achieved by creating a Baby Memory Box of beauty and craftsmanship made by Wheathills' Cabinet Makers, French Polishers and Traditional Upholsterers. The box will keep safe their grand daughter's childhood memories and be a special gift of beauty to remind her, throughout her life, of the Grandparents who together created this family heirloom to be passed from generation to generation.
