Booking
Procedure at Wheathills
Once you have chosen Wheathills as a Wedding
Venue we are able to
provisionally hold space for you for 14 days whilst
you check the availability with your Church or
Registry Office.
Having agreed a suitable date you will then be
required to pay a non-refundable deposit of
£500.00 to secure the booking and a contract
will be issued for you to sign your agreement
to of Wheathills' Terms & Conditions. (NB
Wheathills reserves the right to release any booking
for which we have not received a signed contract.)
The balance of your wedding account is due 1
month prior to the event (100% of the final balance).
Between 3 and 4 months prior to the event Wheathills
will request confirmation of your final numbers
and details from which your final account will
be prepared.
In the final weeks prior to the event, Wheathills
will invite you to meet with the Events Co-ordinator
who will be looking after your event on the day.
Payment Notes
Payments may be made by cash, Banker's Draft
or debit card.
Payments by credit card will be subject to a
3% surcharge.
Other Notes
All current brochure prices are applicable to
2006. All prices are subject to a maximum
increase of 10% for 2007 and a further 10% increase
for each subsequent year.
Wheathills reserves the right to change prices
and menus due to market fluctuations without notice.
All deposits and advance payments are non-refundable
and non-transferable.
Wheathills does not accept responsibility for
items stored on behalf of the wedding party.
Charges
The client agrees to pay all Wheathills' charges
within 14 days of receipt of invoice, failing
which interest will be charged daily at 4% over
Wheathills' banker's base rate.
Any function for which advance payment is overdue
by more than 14 days may be cancelled by Wheathills,
any monies due will become immediately payable.
If there are any queries regarding any part of
the invoice, the client will pay the undisputed
balance of the sum owing on the due date and any
remainder upon resolution of the query.
Cancellations By Wheathills
Wheathills may cancel bookings under the following
circumstances:
- If Wheathills (or any part of it) is closed
due to cicumstances beyond its control;
- If the client becomes insolvent or enters into
liquidation or receivership;
- If the client is more than 14 days in arrears
with any payment due to Wheathills.
- To avoid a breach of these conditions;
If the booking might prejudice the reputation
of, or cause damage to, Wheathills.
Should Wheathills cancel an event it may, at
its discretion, refund any advance payment made
but will have no further liability to the client.
Liability
Wheathills will be liable to the client and/or
persons attending the function for injury or loss
or damage to property only where and to the extent
that it has been negligent but otherwise will
be under no liability to them whatsoever.
The client will be liable for any loss or damage
to Wheathills property including walls, light
fittings and equipment (including items hired
for their use) or injury to any person including
Wheathills staff and shall indemnify Wheathills
against any loss or liability (other than the
liability outlined in the previous paragraph).
The client is advised to consider arranging
insurance for the function covering public liability
and the loss or damage to its property and that of
the persons attending the function.
General
Wheathills will take all reasonable steps to
fulfil the reservation to the best of its ability
and in accordance with the details provided. However,
it reserves the right to provide alternative services
of at least an equivalent standard at no additional
cost to the client.
The client shall not be entitled to assign the
booking to any third party nor utilise the facilities
other than for the purposes stated in the contract,
without Wheathills' prior written approval.
Wheathills reserves the right to pass on to the
client any additional costs incurred by them in
respect of goods and services requested during
the course of the function or caused by the client
not adhering to the agreed terms of the services.
Whilst Wheathills has taken all reasonable steps
to ensure that the information contained in its
brochures, tariffs, leaflets and advertisements
is correct, it reserves the right to alter, substitute
or withdraw any service, facility or amenity without
prior notice if necessary.
Not withstanding anything contained in these
terms, Wheathills will not be liable for any failure
to perform its obligations to the client in whole
or part as a result of any of the following circumstances:
- Strikes
- Other industrial action(s)
- Civil unrest, dispute or commotion
- Fire at or near Wheathills
- Flood at or near Wheathills
- Act of God
- Legal action against Wheathills, not resulting
from its negligence, preventing the supply of
services.
No variation of these conditions shall be effective
unless in writing and signed on behalf of both
Wheathills and the client.
All bookings are held on option until the contract
is signed by the client and Wheathills. If another
enquiry for the same date(s) is received the original
client will be informed, however Wheathills reserves
the right to take another booking if no contract
or deposit has been received.
This agreement shall be subject to the law of
the country in which Wheathills is situated.
